ICPF's Annual RFP Process
In 2008, Millersville University, Appalachian State University and Dunwoody College of Technology were awarded CAD sample tables and software; Virginia Tech was awarded laboratory testing equipment. For the 2009 school year, ICPF received 17 proposals which were then narrowed downt to 12 schools and are currently being reviewed by the ICPF Board of Directors for awards to expand corrugated packaging curriculum. ICPFAsset Donations ICPF is expanding technical education opportunities at educational institutions across the country to benefit both students and corrugated industry employees. ICPF has increased the acquisition and placement of corrugated equipment assets at educational institutions in which the industry has input into the development of the corrugated curriculum. The following schools have received ICPF asset placements and/or curriculum support: Appalachian St (NC), California Polytechnic State University, Christian Brothers University, Clemson University, Dunwoody College of Technology, Fox Valley Technical College, Humber College, Indiana State University, Iowa State University, Institut Des Communications Graphiques de Quebec, Michigan State University, Millersville University, Mohawk College, North Carolina A&T State, Rochester Institute of Technology, San Jose State University, University of Florida, Virginia Tech, and University of Wisconsin-Stout. ICPF “Send a CAD/CAM to College Campaign” ICPF seeks to strengthen the structural design skills of students by placing CAD software and sample tables into university-level packaging programs. ICPF invites faculty of business, engineering, packaging, graphic art, graphic design, business, structural design, architecture and tech classes, and other related organizations to participate in ICPF's 2008 - 2009 Request For Proposal. Selected project proposals that are directed towards expanding knowledge of corrugated packaging and/or its career opportunities, will receive awards with an anticipated average value of $40,000 to $50,000. Qualifying and interested schools are invited to submit an RFP . |
