Join industry executives and their spouses at the ICPF's holiday weekend' host hotel, the W New York at Times Square for ICPF's third annual Holiday Weekend in New York, scheduled for Friday and Saturday, December 10 & 11, 2010.
Planned as ICPF's annual fundraising event to support ICPF's mission, this year's participants (integrated manufacturing executives, box plant owners & executives, and service & supplier executives) will begin with a Friday evening reception hosted by Anthony Pratt and Mike Harwood in Mr. Pratt's penthouse home overlooking Central Park at the historic Sherry-Netherland. On Saturday, participants will attend a matinee performance of this year's ICPF selected Broadway hit, and join executives and spouses from 20 to 40 corrugated industry companies for an exclusive reception and dinner Saturday night at a renowned New York restaurant (to be announced).
Free time on Friday afternoon, Saturday and Sunday morning will allow for holiday shopping, site seeing, museums, more Broadway plays, or a leisurely brunch. Early registration is $2,800 (spouse participates free) until September 15, with a large portion of the registration supporting ICPF operations and tax deductible. In addition to participating, many corporate executives have invited clients, potential ICPF CorrAlliance and Pacesetter Suppliers, and rewarded key employees from their companies with this special weekend holiday function. There are corporate opportunities for sponsoring a reception, as well as tables for special clients and guests.
Past supporters and participants have included Amtech, Atlas Container, Bates Container, The Bobst Group, Central Container, Color Resolutions International, Esko, Fitzpatrick Container, Gerber Innovations, JB Machinery, Lansmont Corporation, MichCor Container, Mid Atlantic Packaging, Morphy Containers, Packaging Corporation of America, Pratt Industries, Rock-Tenn, Simpson Paper, Smurfit-Stone Container, Sumter Packaging, Temple-Inland, Testing Machines, Inc., Triad Packaging, the Association of Independent Corrugated Converters, and the Fibre Box Association. From the early responses, it is anticipated that the event in this third year will have the broadest attendance ever.
Two time participant, John Bird, CEO of JB Machinery, summed up the ICPF group's responses to the annual event. “It is wonderful to be able to mix with industry peers in a totally informal and social environment”, New ICPF Partner, Steve Gore, President of Gerber Innovations, indicated like many others that the weekend was an exclusive opportunity to get to know key executives in the industry and is looking forward to attending for a third time this year.

ICPF's Eleventh Annual Careers in Corrugated International Teleconference - February 24, 2010 at 2:00 PM -4:00 PM EST
The International Corrugated Packaging Foundation's 11th annual Careers in Corrugated International Teleconference has been scheduled for Wednesday, February 24, 2010 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM EST. It will be broadcasted live from Michigan State University Studios.
This year's program will consist of a panel of three industry executives. Tim Sullivan, Vice President of Graphics & Display-Sales at the Smurfit-Stone Container Corporation, will present information on the operations and career paths within an integrated corrugated packaging and display corporation. Mike Snowball, Vice President of Paper & Packaging at Liberty Diversified International, will provide information on the operations and career paths within an independent firm. Alan Clark, Marketing Director for Industrial Packaging at International Paper, will provide an industry update on sustainability advancments in such areas as managing material resources, reducing the environmental footprint & the building of strategic partnerships.
The industry panel, moderated by Brett Kirkpatrick, Vice President of Operation at Bay Cities Container, will be followed by a live interactive question and answer period for the some 400 students participating from each of the 18 campuses.
The interactive Teleconference will end with a live student team design competition consisting of teams from Millersville University, Cal Poly State University and Mohawk College. These student teams qualified to participate in ICPF's Best of the Best Competition in Corrugated Design by placing in the 2009 AICC student design competition.
